In April 2005 Personal by Design was birthed for the enjoyment of all jewelry and accessory lovers. Jamila decided to start her own business to eliminate the frustration she and her friends had when searching for a specific look, color, or design while shopping. With a desire to accomplish another artistic goal, Jamila took basic jewelry classes and was guided by Tom Lorio a local jewelry artist and instructor at Louisiana State University.
